Welcome to SKF Duty ("we", "our", or "the App"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use our shift tracking, overtime calculation, salary management, and duty scheduling services.
By downloading, installing, or using SKF Duty, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect information necessary to provide, manage, and calculate your duty schedules and payroll records:
- Account & Profile Information: Employee Name, Email Address, Employee ID, Designation, Department, and Profile Picture (Avatar URL) during registration or Google Sign-In.
- Profile Picture & Photo Policy: If you choose to sign in with Google or link your Google Account, we access your public Google profile picture URL solely to display your avatar across the App interface (such as in the dashboard header, profile cards, and account settings). We never use your profile photo for facial recognition, biometric analysis, user tracking, advertising, or marketing, nor do we share or sell your photo to any third parties. Your photo is cached locally on your device storage for rapid offline viewing and is encrypted during transit.
- Duty & Attendance Records: Shift dates, shift types (Day Duty / Night Duty / General), punch in & punch out timestamps, overtime hours, and leave records.
- Salary & Allowance Settings: Basic salary, hourly rates, medical/food/conveyance allowances, and tax preferences configured by you for accurate earnings calculation.
- Biometric Authentication Data: If enabled, Fingerprint or Face ID authentication is handled directly by your device’s secure hardware (Android BiometricPrompt / iOS LocalAuthentication). We never collect, transmit, or store your biometric templates or fingerprints on any server.
3. Device Permissions & How They Are Used
To provide core shift tracking features, the App may request access to:
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to deliver timely reminders before shift start (Day/Night duties), shift end check-out prompts, and monthly duty limit alerts.
- Biometric Hardware (USE_BIOMETRIC / USE_FINGERPRINT): Used solely on your physical device for local screen lock protection.
- Internet Connection (INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Required to authenticate your account, sync profile pictures, and securely sync your duty logs with Cloudflare cloud storage.
4. Data Storage, Security & Cloud Sync
We take data security very seriously. Your authentication credentials and tokens are stored securely in encrypted device storage (Android EncryptedSharedPreferences / Expo SecureStore).
All communications between the App and our backend cloud servers are strictly transmitted over industry-standard HTTPS / TLS 1.3 encryption.
Profile pictures and avatars are securely cached on your local device filesystem and stored in encrypted cloud database tables associated solely with your user profile.
5. Third-Party Services
The App utilizes trusted third-party service providers that adhere to high privacy standards:
- Google Identity & Play Services: For secure 1-tap Google Sign-In, profile authentication, core application distribution, and security updates. Data retrieved (such as your name, email, and profile photo) complies strictly with Google API Services User Data Policy.
- Cloudflare: For secure API routing, serverless database sync, and DDoS protection.
- Expo / EAS: For runtime execution and optional over-the-air performance patches.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information or photos with any third-party advertisers or data brokers.
6. User Rights & Data Deletion
You have complete control over your personal data. You have the right to:
- Access, review, or export your recorded shift and salary data at any time.
- Modify or correct your profile information inside the App.
- Request Account & Data Deletion: You can request full deletion of your account and all associated duty records from our cloud database by contacting us directly via email.
7. Children's Privacy
Our App is designed for employees and workforce professionals. It is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect app updates or regulatory changes. Any modifications will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" revision date.
